1. Who We Are
LeafMeGrow ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at leafmegrow.com and is developing the LeafMeGrow mobile gardening application. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website. Our address is: R. Fernando Gil Cardeira 2, 8800-082, Portugal. 2. What Data We Collect
Waitlist registration: we collect your email address when you join our waitlist. Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless and privacy-friendly analytics service, to collect anonymised usage data including pages visited, referrer information, and approximate geographic region. Vercel Analytics does not assign any persistent identifier to your browser and does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, or payment information at this stage.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Waitlist email address: the legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You provide your email address voluntarily to receive a launch notification, and you may withdraw that consent at any time. Analytics: the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use the website so we can improve it (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information, so cookie consent is not required under the ePrivacy Directive.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your email address is used solely to send you a launch notification and occasional pre-launch updates about LeafMeGrow. We will not use it for unrelated marketing, and we will never sell or rent it to third parties. Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors.
5. Data Processors and Third Parties
Supabase Inc. acts as our data processor for waitlist email storage. Supabase stores data in the European Union and is subject to a Data Processing Agreement with us. Vercel Inc. provides Vercel Analytics. Vercel Analytics collects only aggregated, non-personal data. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
6. Data Retention
Waitlist email addresses are retained until you request removal, or until twelve months after the LeafMeGrow app has publicly launched, whichever is earlier. We will delete your email address promptly upon request. Vercel Analytics data is aggregated and non-personal, and is retained in accordance with Vercel's data retention policies.
7. International Data Transfers
Your waitlist email is stored in Supabase infrastructure located within the European Union. Vercel Analytics processes only aggregated, non-personal data and does not transfer any personally identifiable information outside of the EU.
8. Your Data Subject Rights
Under both UK GDPR and EU GDPR (Regulation 2016/679), you have the following rights in relation to your personal data: (a) Right of access -request a copy of the data we hold about you. (b) Right to rectification -ask us to correct inaccurate data. (c) Right to erasure -ask us to delete your data where there is no compelling reason to keep it. (d) Right to restriction of processing -ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances. (e) Right to data portability -receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. (f) Right to object -object to processing based on legitimate interests. (g) Right to withdraw consent -withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@leafmegrow.com. To protect your privacy, we will send a verification link to the email address in question before acting on any access or erasure request. We will respond within one calendar month.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), which can be contacted at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. A list of EU/EEA supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu. We would, however, always appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly before you contact a supervisory authority.
10. Cookies
This website does not use analytics cookies. We use Vercel Analytics, which is entirely cookieless. The only browser storage used is a theme preference in localStorage, which is strictly necessary for delivering the light/dark mode feature you select. 11. Children's Privacy
This website and the LeafMeGrow app are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with their email address, please contact us at privacy@leafmegrow.com and we will delete it promptly.
12. Data Protection Officer
We are not currently required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under UK GDPR given the nature and scale of our processing activities. All data protection enquiries are handled directly by the LeafMeGrow team and should be directed to privacy@leafmegrow.com.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our product and legal obligations evolve. We will notify waitlist members of any material changes by email and will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
